The Idea and the Start…

It started with Kids Yoga.

Marquis, the president of Anaconda Wellness Project and owner of our local yoga studio, Anaconda Yoga, offers Kids Yoga to local children and schools.

“I wanted to create a space where everyone feels welcome and where we can all learn from each other in every gathering”

The problem? Not all families can afford to send their kids to yoga.

In fact, not all members of our community can access wellness opportunities at all.

And so the Anaconda Wellness Project was born, in an effort to start connecting our community to wellness opportunities that are scientifically proven to benefit individuals but not accessible unless through private pay.

What We offer

Our Purpose

The purpose of Anaconda Wellness Project is to create low-barrier opportunities for wellbeing through yoga, movement, education, and collaborative wellness programming led by qualified professionals. We aim to bridge gaps in access to care while strengthening the health and resilience of the Anaconda community.

We improve our health when we make an effort to move purposefully

Doing fun activities helps kids become more aware of themselves and can improve their overall health.

Community Classes

For Kids

Our children’s programs use movement, mindfulness, creativity, and play to help kids build healthy habits from an early age. Offerings may include kids yoga, mindfulness and breathing practices, outdoor activities, movement-based camps, and workshops that support emotional awareness, confidence, and connection.

Programs are designed to be welcoming and accessible, giving local kids opportunities to move their bodies, explore new skills, and learn simple tools they can carry with them as they grow.

For Mothers

Pregnancy and early motherhood can be physically and emotionally demanding, and access to supportive wellness resources shouldn’t depend on income. AWP programs for pregnant women and mothers may include prenatal and postpartum movement, pelvic floor education, breathwork, nervous system support, restorative practices, and community-based wellness workshops.

Our goal is to help women feel supported in their changing bodies, connect with others in the same season of life, and access practical tools that support their wellbeing before and after birth.

Donation Based Classes

For Everyone

Wellness is for the whole community. AWP offers free and low-cost classes, workshops, outdoor experiences, and educational programs designed to make movement and whole-person wellbeing more accessible in Anaconda. Offerings may include yoga and functional movement, breathwork, meditation, healthy aging programs, guided walking experiences, nervous system education, and community wellness events.

No experience, fitness level, or ability to pay should determine whether someone has access to tools that can help them feel better in their body and their life.

Community Support is what keeps us going

Consider Supporting AWP Today

Our Board Members for AWP

Through your community support we offer a number of classes to kids, mothers, and seniors regardless of their ability to pay.

This vision started in 2026 with outreach to kids in the schools, from there it grew into a full blown kids yoga camp where we have fun and move and breathe. We also offer snacks and fun activities to keep everyone engaged. This grew over the year to include kids of different ages and we loved it so much we are growing the program even more.

Your community class donations allowed us to sponsor several kids in attending yoga camp classes throughout the summer of 2026. Thanks to you we were able to invite more kids to camp than might have been able to make it due to financial constraints.
